Settings in options reset everytime I restart game

This is probably a dumb questions, but every time I make changes to my settings under options in CS:S it will reset when I close and open the game again. Anybody know how I can fix this? Thanks for the help in advance.

Go to your cstrike folder>cfg then set your config.txt note pad to read only in properties and it should work. (Right click config.txt , and go to properties, set to read only and apply. ) This should fix your issue, sorry for the late reply
